PS4 DUALSHOCK 4 USED

Buying a used DualShock 4 (DS4) in 2026 can be a great way to save money, but because these controllers are no longer the "current gen," the market is flooded with high-quality fakes and units with hidden wear. Here is what you need to look for to ensure you’re getting a genuine, functional controller. Fake DS4s look nearly identical but use cheaper components that result in "dead zones" in the analog sticks. The Sticker: On the back, the serial number sticker on a genuine Sony controller is perfectly centered and matte. Fakes often have crooked, shiny stickers with typos. Button Feel: Genuine buttons have a "dampened" soft click. Fakes often sound loud, plastic-y, and clicky. The PS Button: On official controllers, the PS logo is crisp and centered. On fakes, the logo might be slightly tilted or the plastic finish around it might be rough. Light Bar: In Version 2 controllers (the ones with the light strip on the touchpad), the light should fade softly at the edges. Fakes often have a harsh, solid block of light.
